Sean Towgood is a Radio Broadcasting graduate from Humber College. Sean won an Emerge Media Award for the short radio documentary ‘Stigma’. He created and co-produced the audio documentaries ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Welcome To The Party’ for CBC’s ‘The Doc Project’; ‘Epilogue’ for BBC’s ‘Short Cuts’ series; and was an associate producer on ‘Equal Too’ (Stripped Media/Harder Than You Think). Select theatre credits include ‘Wounded Soldiers’ (4th Line Theatre, Ontario tour) and ‘My Life on the Short Bus’, a self-created solo piece (Soulo Theatre Festival). He has also contributed as a writer for the ‘Streams and Variations’ podcast.

Vas Saranga as Eric

Vas is best known for being named one of Canada's Rising Stars in The Hollywood Reporter. His breakout role was in the Disney XD series ‘Aaron Stone’. Soon after that, he played the series lead role of Reese in the live-action television hit ‘MudPit’ (Teletoon). Vas brings a wealth of experience in both drama and comedy to his work. He has most recently appeared in the Universal Studios film ‘Firestarter’, based on the novel by Stephen King. Other appearances include ‘Transplant’ (NBC), ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ (Hulu), ‘Salvation’ (Netflix/CBS), and ‘Orphan Black’ (BBC America).

Tina Jung as Sam

Tina Jung is an award-winning Korean-Canadian actor. Born in South Korea to parents who were actors themselves, Tina was inspired to follow in their footsteps and pursue a career in the arts. Her passion for acting led her to York University, where she holds a BFA upon graduating from the Acting Conservatory program. She is the recipient of the Performing Arts Award and Award in Acting from York, as well as the Sandra Oh Acting Award through the Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation. After graduating with a theatre degree, Tina has made a successful transition to the screen as well as into the world of voice acting.

Joanne Latimer as Jen

Joanne Latimer is a Toronto-based actor, writer and theatre director who has always felt most at home on stage.

She created the role of Josephine Vitale, the mother of the bride, in ‘Tony and Tina’s Wedding’ at Second City, and performed the role for the first year of the run. Other favourite roles include Margaret Ryan in David French’s ‘That Summer’ at 4th Line Theatre; Aunt Dan in Wallace Shawn’s ‘Aunt Dan and Lemon’ by Shadowtime Productions; Vi in Globus Theatre’s Production of Norm Foster’s ‘Halfway There’; and Carol in George F. Walker’s ‘Risk Everything’ for Cement Factory Theatre. She wrote and performed the solo theatre piece ‘Washed Up’, and wrote and directed ‘Snap!’ for the Toronto Fringe Festival.

Most recently, Joanne has appeared in ‘Gray’ (AGC/Lionsgate), ‘Kings of Nappa’ (OWN), ‘Living In Your Car’ (HBO), ‘Frankie Drake Mysteries’ (CBC), and ‘A Home For the Holidays’ (Shaftsbury).

Tara Spencer-Nairn as Angela

Tara Spencer-Nairn is best known as the deadpan police officer Karen Pelly in ‘Corner Gas’, ‘Corner Gas the Movie’ and ‘Corner Gas Animated’ a role she played in the Gemini-winning, #1 rated CTV sitcom earning a Gemini Award for Best Ensemble Performance in 2007 and two Gemini nominations in 2004 and 2006.

Most recently she has appeared in the hit CBS show ‘Ghosts’ and will be appearing in the upcoming CBC GEM series ‘You're My Hero’.

Spencer-Nairn appeared in the recurring role of Sandy in CTV’s hit drama ‘The Listener’. She has appeared in numerous other television productions including ‘The Outer Limits’, ‘The Strain’; ‘Murdoch Mysteries’, ‘Flashpoint’, ‘Saving Hope’, ‘Degrassi’, ‘Hudson and Rex’, and SYFY’s ‘Killjoys’.

Spencer-Nairn was born in Montreal, raised in Vancouver and now calls Toronto home. The youngest of three siblings, the actor spent 12 years as a competitive gymnast. She is happily married and the mother of two young sons.

Ali Hassan is a Stand-up Comic, Actor and CBC Personality.

Ali is the host of the CBC Radio hit stand-up comedy show ‘Laugh Out Loud’. Ali is also heard on CBC Radio, NPR and PRX as a frequent guest host of the arts and culture show ‘q’, and ‘As It Happens’, and for the past six consecutive years, Ali has hosted ‘Canada Reads’ - the annual battle of the books celebrating the best of Canadian literature.

Among his numerous Film & TV credits, he was recently in the films ‘My Spy’ and ‘Mafia Inc.’ and appeared in recent seasons of ‘Working Moms’ (CBC), ‘Hudson & Rex’ (CityTV), and ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ (Paramount+). Television audiences can also see Ali as a recurring guest star in two new shows: ‘Sort Of’ on CBC GEM and HBO Max, and the new hit sitcom ‘Run The Burbs’ on CBC Television.

As a comedian, Ali has performed for audiences across Canada and internationally, with his solo show ‘Muslim, Interrupted’. In January of 2023, Ali begins touring across Canada with his latest solo show, entitled ‘Does This Taste Funny?’. His comedic memoir ‘Is There Bacon in Heaven?’ is out NOW with Simon & Schuster.

Cassidy Civiero is a filmmaker and actor. Their directorial debut ‘I'm in Love with All My Friends’ achieved international distribution from Fearless and their upcoming short about climate anxiety, ‘Ethical Consumption’, has been funded through Art With Impact. As an actor, they have appeared in the hit series' ‘12 Monkeys’ and ‘American Gods’.

George Alevizos as Rex

A graduate of the joint University of Toronto/Sheridan College Theatre and Drama Studies program, George Alevizos will next be seen in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Gen V and CBC Gem series You’re My Hero. Previous television appearances include Hudson and Rex (CityTV) and Star Trek: Discovery (Paramount +).

On stage, he will be reprising his role in ‘A Few Good Men’ for Drayton Entertainment in the summer of 2023, after performances in ‘Who’s Afraid of Titus’ directed by Sky Gilbert, ‘Towards Rebirth’ (Shakespeare in the Ruff) and ‘Drive’ (LemonTree Creations).

As an elected Toronto and National council member of ACTRA, George continues to break barriers and set the tone for inclusivity for on and off-screen talent.

Kelsey Flower is an actor, writer, producer and musician located in Toronto, ON. Kelsey has been acting in theatre and film in Canada for over 10 years. You can currently watch Kelsey as Lance in two seasons of Netflix’s ‘Black Summer’ and ‘Daniel’ in HBO’s RUN.

His executive produced and penned short film ‘With You Always’ debuted at the Canadian Film Fest and can be streamed on Highball TV and Reel Women’s Network.

He also has two singles out on Spotify or wherever music is streamed. His other notable credits include: ‘Private Eyes’, ‘Wayne’, ‘The Unauthorized Full House Story’, ‘WHO KIDNAPPED MY MOM?’ and ‘Rent-a-Groom’.

One-half of YouTube darlings Christian & Nat, and has recently co-founded the new channel ‘Pulp Comedy’. Christian is also a part of the award-winning sketch troupe Soul Decision who has performed all around North America and Europe including JFL, JFL42, Zoofest and more! In 2022 Julie won a Streamy Award for her writing, in 2021 she won three Webby Awards for Best Individual Performance, Audience Choice for Best Viral Video, and Best Writing for her video “Explaining the Pandemic to my Past Self” (~24 million views), and in 2020 she was named a Top Canadian Breakout Creator by YouTube.

Additionally, Julie has been nominated in 2022 and 2021 for a Streamy Award for Best Writing! In 2019, her short film, ‘Are We Bad Feminists’, screened at Buffer Festival where she won overall “Excellence in Writing”. While writing, producing, editing and acting in content for the web, Julie also works in film and TV. Recent credits include: the television movie ‘The Wedding Rule’, ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ (CBC), ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ (FX), ‘Corone'r’ (CBC), ‘Odd Squad’ (PBS), ‘TallBoyz’ (CBC), ‘Workin’ Moms’ (CBC/Netflix), and ‘Cabin Connection’ (Super Channel).
